Recorded in 2016, with sessions beginning immediately following the completion of tracking for 2017's Enjoy The Great Outdoors LP, If I Knew How features new versions of songs from the solo releases of yesteryear, prior to the Era of EE. Performed on record with the addition of Everyone Else, hear old favorites arranged in a manner which could be frequently experienced during the 2015-2016 era of SR & EE live shows. Featuring Jack Schemenauer on drums, Grant Engstrom on lead guitar, Ben Austin on cello, and Brennan Zwieg on Rhodes piano- this collection showcases a diverse array of stylistic influences that were molding the live arrangements at the time. Mastered by Nicholas Bolton at Holy Tapes! in Jersey City and featuring artwork by Tina Scarpello (photographed by Elizabeth Smarz), If I Knew How will be available everywhere digitally on 6/29/2018*.
Available for listening now is "Pasture"- a song originally recorded around 2011 with an entirely different melody/arrangement (which would go on to be indefinitely unreleased), and then re-recorded for the "Keeper" demo in 2014. Since then, it has become of staple of live shows and is appearing today in fully-realized form.
